SERVICES: Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Church in Virginia. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Virginia. Margaret J. Stupca, 88, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Golden Living Center East in Rochester, Minn.

Margaret was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Virginia, to Matthew and Mary (Spreitzer) Jaksha. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Virginia in 1938. She married Joseph Stupca on Nov. 11, 1944, in Virginia. Joseph passed away in 2002.

Margaret was a den mother for the Cub and Boy Scouts and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was an active member in Our Lady of Lourdes and Holy Spirit church activities.

Margaret is survived by three children, J. Charles (Bev) Stupca of Rochester, Peggy Stupca of Rochester and Stephen (Patty) Stupca of Rochester; six grandchildren, Matthew Stupca of Champaign, Ill., Marissa Stupca of West Chester, Pa., and Daniel, Douglas, Patrick and Peter Stupca, all of Rochester; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Matthew Jaksha, Jr.; and four sisters, Stephanie O’Leary, Albina Mihelich, Jospehine Jaksha and Antoinette Mestnick.
