Range of Voices’ 50th anniversary

This year is the 50th anniversary of the Range of Voice community chorus. Range of Voices is the largest community choir on the Iron Range, and we would like to invite you to join us for our spring concerts on April 12 and 14, 2019. Our rehearsals begin this Tuesday, Jan. 15. Rehearsals are held at Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Our theme for this spring is: “Our diversity is our strength and thus our common ground.”

The musical selections will be representative of differing musical periods, style, genres, languages and will reflect our dignity as a people through the universal power of music.

Titles include: Gloria from the 12th Mass by Mozart, Bridge over troubled water, Battle hymn of the Republic, Dirait-on swingin’, With the saints, Africa by Toto, O Sifuné Mungu and several more.

Range of Voices is currently under the direction of Angela Cantlon, a retired music instructor. Past directors are also being invited to direct some selections in honor of our 50th anniversary.

Please view our Facebook page for recordings of our 2018 Christmas concert, and for further information.
