EVELETH — Children, teens and adults with a love for performing on stage are invited to try out for Mesabi Musical Theatre's summer production at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, May 21-23, in the Eveleth-Gilbert High School auditorium.
Inspired by the "twisted genius of Roald Dahl," the Tony Award-winning "Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical" is the "captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life," according to a press release from Mesabi Musical Theatre.

The auditions, which includes acting and singing, last about two hours. Students will participate in a dance audition as well. Rehearsals will be in the evening Monday-Thursday.
