IRON RANGE — Touring area libraries this month is the Brodini Magic Show. Free, this show is fun for all ages! Bringing Brodini to the area has been made possible by the Arrowhead Library System (ALS) and their Kids Stuff programming.
“The Brodini Comedy Magic Show offers fun and exciting magic tricks that are so cool you won’t believe your eyes!” states the press release announcing the tour. “Magician Graylyn Morris will raise spirits and test kids’ powers of concentration as he manipulates ropes, scarves, balls, and other magician props in a perplexing “now you see it, now you don’t” performance! This 40-minute family-friendly program is for all ages.”
Morris is based in St. Paul and has been a magician for 35 years, 19 of those years working with libraries.
“A librarian saw me working in a local park and recommended I audition for the library,” said Morris over email. “The rest is history.”
“I am a self-taught magician who learned everything in the library,” said Morris listing what he hopes attendees gain from his performance. “Entertainment-education-laughter and the knowledge that if I can do this, anyone could.”
Morris has performed at libraries throughout the state and last year he performed in this area. It was a very successful tour with thrilled attendees and librarians singing his praises.
“Brodini is back by popular demand!” said ALS Regional Librarian, Mollie Stanford. “We are so thrilled to have him travel throughout the ALS region and share his gift of magic with the youth in our communities.”
Morris is grateful to return stating, “It was so successful, they as me to return the following year. Which is very rare. This is a wonderful thing to return and perform for the kids.”
